Coopers plane

I bought a coopers plane this past weekend. Just for show, something else to hang on the wall.

 

 

 

 

Here is a good explanation of how this plane was used.

These were used upside down and sloped away from the cooper with the toe at the front.
Staves were pushed along the base just like we would pass timber over a powered jointer today.Another good picture.
